The exact timing changes when a challenge needs field work, a company visit, extended testing or special safety preparation. The rule does not change: you participate.

Short written checks may be used when safety, calculations or regulations must be understood. They do not replace practical proof.
Safety comes before access
Access increases as your skill and responsibility increase.
Robots, aircraft, batteries, high-voltage systems and industrial machines can cause serious harm. You must complete the required safety preparation before using restricted equipment.
